Parlour Safe is the training accreditation relevant to all engineers and technicians who are installing, maintaining and repairing milking equipment.

The courses progress from Parlour Safe category 2 through to Parlour Safe category 4 Professional Master Technician, covering all levels of skill, experience and required learning. Parlour Safe training is now facilitated at two colleges, Reaseheath in Cheshire and Hartpury in Gloucestershire. Before you an enrol to study you need to be registered on the Parlour Safe technicians database. Registration is free of charge.

Training is run on a block release system spread over two years. Following valuable feedback from technicians and dealerships we have now reduced the amount of blocks of training whilst increasing the training time per block. There will now be 2 blocks of 3 day training days per academic year. This dramatically reduces the amount of time technicians are away from the dealership and also reduces the amount of travel and accommodation costs.

In order to enrol at college on category 2 or category 3 please contact Angela Barnatt at the MEA on, 01733 207602 or 08456 448748.

Please give your full contact details and clearly state which category you wish to enrol on. The training dates are listed below.

Please note that Category 2 technicians must have been accredited at category 2 for 12 months before enrolling on to category 3.

The cost to complete a training level is £2,200 payable in 2 instalments, £1,100 invoiced at the start of the first academic year and £1,100 invoiced at the start of the second academic year.

The training blocks for the 2017/2018 academic year have now been completed. The dates for the 2018/2019 academic year will be announced in due course.

Parlour Safe Category 2 training is held at Hartpury College, Hartpury House, Hartpury, Gloucester GL19 3BE.
