Course Information

MSTA Training and Accreditation is recommended for all engineers and technicians supplying, installing, maintaining and repairing milking equipment.

There are two Training/Accreditation courses covering the skill and experience required for:

  • MSTA Category 2 (Dairy Technician)
  • MSTA Category 3 (Dairy Engineering Technician)

Before you can enrol you need to be registered on the MSTA technicians database. Registration is free of charge.

MSTA Training dates for 2025/2026

MSTA Category 2 (Dairy Technician)
All training will be in-person at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire

Block 1: Monday 17th November – Friday 21st November 2025
Block 2: Monday 2nd March – Friday 6th March 2026

 The course will be run over one academic year at a cost of £2,550.00 plus VAT.  

MSTA CATEGORY 3 (Dairy Engineering Technician)

All training will be in-person at Agri-EPI Centre Midlands, Agri-Tech Innovation Hub.  In order to study at Cat 3, technicians need to be currently accredited at Cat 2.

Block 1: Monday 24th November – Friday 28th November 2025
Block 2: Monday 23rd  February – Friday 27th February 2026

The course will be run over one academic year at a cost of £2,550.00 plus VAT.
