MSTA Registration Category 4: Master Dairy Technician / Engineering Technician

Category 4 Accreditation is for master Dairy Engineering Technicians with an independently assessed and proven track record of technical ability and experience, together with mentoring and/or management skills.

Pre-requisites:

  • Currently Category 3 MSTA accredited; (fully paid up registration fee and, where applicable, ongoing CPD has been demonstrated)
  • Be active within the industry
  • Identify 2 “Core Modules” and 1 “Optional Module” as a basis for assessment
    • Assessment fee payment

Requirements 

  • Successfully completing Category 4 MSTA assessment by independent panel
  • Portfolio of real-life examples of work undertaken in support of assessment
  • Be able to demonstrate real life work examples, e.g. interpretation of test reports
  • Active employment within the industry
  • Payment of fees

Accreditation

Accreditation at Category 4 – Master Dairy Engineering Technician is carried out by an Independent Panel of Assessors and confirms the candidates specialist status through:

  • Assessment of a portfolio of work examples, and other supporting material;
  • Interview with an Independent Panel of assessors including (where applicable) peers and/or relevant recognised specialists;
 

Technicians accredited at Category 3 and Category 4 are
recognised by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) and are
eligible to apply for registration as Engineering Technicians (EngTech) with
the Engineering Council.
