MSTA Registration Category 3: Dairy Engineering Technician

Category 3 Accreditation is for skilled and experienced Dairy Technicians who are capable of supervising others and/or leading a team.

Pre-requisites:

  • Currently Category 2 MSTA accredited; (fully paid up registration fee and, where applicable, ongoing CPD has been demonstrated)
  • Be active within the industry
  • College course fee payment

Requirements for Accreditation at Category 3 Dairy Engineering Technician:

  • Successfully completing Category 3 MSTA training and assessment
  • For renewal of accreditation, ability to demonstrate maintained accreditation through ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Active within the industry

Accreditation

Category 3 Accredited – Dairy Engineering Technician should normally be able to:

  • Supervise, train others and/or be team leader
  • Installation sign off and handover to customer
  • Milking time assessments
  • Diagnostics and problem solving
 

Technicians accredited at Category 3 and Category 4 are recognised by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) and are eligible to apply for registration as Engineering Technicians (EngTech) with
the Engineering Council.
