Lely design and develop ground-breaking technologies to automate farm processes, ranging from robotic milking to automated feeding systems that have been developed, refined and manufactured at the company headquarters in Maassluis, the Netherlands.

Lely created and launched the world’s first automated milking system in 1992, the Lely Astronaut, changing the face of dairying in the UK and Ireland. Through the Lely Atlantic dedicated franchise network, across the UK and Ireland, Lely works to provide a driven, customer-centric service to dairy farmers. The technical service is as important as the technology itself, while the focus on customer centricity provides a platform to manage a successful transition to farm automation.
